Geographic Movement

This graph shows graduates' geographic movement after completing their degrees, based on their citizenship at the time of their admission to the PhD program and their geographic location in 2016. Hover over the chart to see tooltips indicating how many came from a location to Canada for school (first line of tooltip) and how many returned to that location after school (second line of tooltip).

Note: Dual citizenship is not accounted for in this graph. For the graduates who answered our survey, their 2016 location is based on the physical location they indicated on the survey. For the graduates we researched, their location is based on the location of their employer. The location of 11 graduates at the time of admission was unknown, and these were excluded.
